Look What I Found in the Barn: The Stuff of Dreams…or Nightmares

No, I wasn’t traveling the pastoral countryside searching for forgotten treasures in someone’s old barn; I went out to MY barn on a warm day to see how the book storage was doing versus the mice.  I peeked inside a few of the boxes and did a happy feet dance because, first of all, there were no mice, and secondly, I found some treasures.   At least, these are treasures for someone.   Definitely not my cup of tea.  Definitely.

Vallejo – $18    well, you know

Bosch – $20     weird, indecipherable art from the late 1400s, by the hallucinogenic Hieronymus

Monocyte – $80   a graphic novel with more weird hallucinogenic art, this time from 2012; this one will only go up in value among collectors

The Devil – $25  good and evil, religion and magic, etc.

Stormdancer – $10  “first in an epic new fantasy series, introducing an unforgettable heroine and a stunningly original dystopian steampunk world with a flavor of feudal Japan.”  That explains it.

Bazaar of Bad Dreams- $15   a collection of short stories by the King for “his Constant Reader.”  “I made them especially for you,” he said.
