Rare, Clarence Major 1969 first edition of All Night Visitors

Clarence Major is a prominent African-American poet, writer and artist, with an impressive life in the world of literature and art.  All-Night Visitors was his first novel, published in 1969.  He taught literature and/or creative writing at 11 universities across the country.  He is a distinguished professor emeritus of 20th Century American Literature at the University of California at Davis.  He taught at UC Davis for 18 years before retiring in 2007.  Major earned a Lifetime Achievement Award in the Fine Arts in 2015 from the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation and in 2016 the PEN Oakland/Reginald Lockett Lifetime Achievement Award.
